The mission of this Macao Health Code is to help the people of Macao in maintaining their general wellbeing by way of a series of assessments and therapeutic modalities based on the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Health Problems utilized internationally. The principal areas covered in this syllabus are'Thematic Management',''Cerebral Palsy and Its Prevention','Maternal Health and Community Development','Meningitis and its Remedy' and'Rheumatic and skeletal diseases'. The key concepts driving the evolution of the syllabus are: the recognition that individual differences and human causative agents ascertain individual responses; the significance of community-based caution instead of institutional care; the interdependence of individuals; and the importance of interdisciplinary studies. The primary sources used in this syllabus would be the MACao Health Code, WHO International Classification of Diseases, World Health Organization, and the Joint Commission International's Global Burden of Disease study.

There are eight major focus areas included in the plan of this Macao Health Code. The first focuses on early identification and prevention of diseases. This area addresses the monitoring of Hong Kong residents' food intake throughout the weekdays and the times after meals in addition to the frequency of intakes of drinks other than water in home and in the workplace. The second area focuses on the evaluation of micronutrient intake as a foundation for nutrient assessment of the macao Hong Kong inhabitants. The third area addresses the evaluation of calcium along with vitamin D from urine samples in addition to blood samples.

The fourth area focuses on the monitoring of serum antioxidant aspects. The fifth focuses on the observation of blood pressure levels and glucose levels. The sixth concentrates on observation of the CADR or the Chinese Crested Currency Rate. The seventh targets the instruction of the contact details of the Hong Kong resident's family and get numbers of their private health practitioners and their corresponding practices.

The Macao Health Code also contains the provisions for the instruction of emergency medical care. It stipulates the location of their closest hospital with an emergency department. The emergency medical care of those Hong Kong residents is offered by the closest hospitals as listed in the emergency room. In order to facilitate the documentation of this individual's condition, the designated health officer of the area is needed to accompany the patient to the hospital. The emergency room physician in Hong Kong can give instructions or refer the patient into the right specialist. In case the hospital isn't recorded in the emergency room, the local doctor can provide instructions.

To be able to ensure that the Macao Health Code is observed, a Macao Health Declaration form must be available in the community. This form is obtained from the local government office and affixed to the door of the house of the resident. The form comprises the personal information of the resident and contact numbers of the loved ones and immediate relatives, in addition to the contact number of the nearest physician in the region. When a resident is hospitalized, then his hospitalization report is usually attached to his private declaration form. The digital health declaration form can be gathered at any of the Health Ministry offices on the date indicated on the form.
